No longer a victim

Writer's picture: Desiree HullDesiree Hull

Conflicted souls, twin flames

One is the victim while the other blames

Throwing out hurtful words that pierce through the heart

Struggling to keep afloat while it’s tearing her apart

Head above water, she remains there

You clutch her foot to pull her down

Trying to envelop her in your darkness, in the place where you can be found

Shame, hate, sadness, despair

The waters are violent, crashing, tugging and unfair

No longer a victim she easily pulls from your grip

Swimming towards the shore where she knows she won’t slip

Stillness, love, peace and surrender

A shore that is safe and a shore that is tender

Conflicted souls, twin flames

One on the shore and the other remains……
